Wal-Mart Rescue

This is my rescue from Wal-Mart. They had 6 different cactus planted in a pink cereal bowl without a drain hole, and they were soaking wet. I brought it home and separated them, washed off the muck, replanted and was rewarded today with this yellow flower! I hope the others will feel the same way and bloom for me. It is a Thelocactus setispinus. It will stay small, no more than about 6-inches high.

This is another way to create a display of Devil's Claw. This was exhibited the Visitor Center at the Hassayampa River Preserve we attended last week. It's too much trouble to make one like this. If I could find one for sale I think I would buy it!

You are very sweet. We love our bedroom also. It isn't very big, but it is elegant. You gave me a puzzle with where you live...I cannot figure out where they have water! Trust me, if I knew, I would have been there too! I love the water, and where did I end up?!? BTW, your cacti are fantastic...blooming. I don't usually like them, but I do love the flowers. I am originally from MICH, so I still want peonies!
Have a good day!

This post makes me want to run to Walmart and see what I can rescue! That cactus is beautiful! I also enjoyed looking at your other posts -- some really beautiful pictures. You should become a member of Bloomin' Tuesdays (check my blog to find out how)! Anyway, thanks for stopping by my blog and your kind words about my totes. I appreciate it!

Hi!
Thankyou for your sweet, inspiring comment! ~ I just love visiting YOUR blog and feel LIFTED HERE!
I am giggling at you rescuing a cactus, bringing it home, and lovingly repotting it. YOU HAVE AN AWESOME HEART LADY! OKAY; I HAVE TO ASK: HOW DO YOU DO THAT WITHOUT GETTING ALL PRICKERED? DO you wear a suit of armour? heehee
Inquiring minds HAVE to know!
